We are sowing knowledge in Nova Królikarnia
Here’s the translation:
RONSON Development, a leading Polish developer, is actively involved in ecological issues and sustainable construction. Caring for the environment is a matter for every generation, especially important for the youngest, who will be living in new ecological standards in a few years. The company's mission is not only to implement ecological solutions in its investments but also to educate about their significance and benefits. Understanding and awareness of ecological solutions are key to effectively implementing a sustainable world.
Innovative Approach to Learning
At the end of May, fifth-grade students from a Canadian school had the opportunity to visit one of the most modern low-emission housing estates in Nova Królikarnia. This visit was part of a unique educational program aimed at showcasing the practical aspects of sustainable construction to the children. The entire event was organized in a workshop format, allowing children to gain knowledge through direct experience. The meeting was conducted in English.
"We believe that learning can be an exciting adventure, provided we let the youngest explore the world using all their senses. By seeing, touching, and performing various tasks themselves, they remember the acquired knowledge better. This interactive form of learning guided us in organizing this event."
Karolina Bronszewska, Director of Marketing and Innovation
Practical Learning in the Field
The workshops for the children were divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The meeting began with a brief introduction led by our Project Manager, Patrycja Kowalczyk, who explained to the children about the construction process, its phases, duration, and the number of people involved in the project. Special attention was given to the ecological solutions used in low-emission construction. During the dialogue, the children had the opportunity to share their own knowledge, which proved to be extremely inspiring. After the preliminary discussions, the children were taken to the construction site by the site manager. However, before entering the site, they were briefed on safety rules, and each child received a reflective vest and a helmet. Under the supervision of the site manager, the children could see for themselves what ecological solutions are implemented in our homes.
Added Value
The trip concluded with a discussion with the children about their reflections and exchanging thoughts on ecology and environmental care. Each child received a plant seedling that they could plant upon returning to school. They also took home the helmets they wore during the construction site visit.
Education First
Ecological construction focuses not only on innovative technologies but also on respect for nature and minimizing our impact on it. However, it is equally important to foster attitudes of responsibility, empathy, and a sense of one’s role in maintaining ecological balance. Environmental education not only conveys knowledge about environmental threats but also develops the skills to understand the complex relationships between society, the economy, and nature. Its goal is to enrich students with competencies that enable them to make informed decisions and act for environmental protection, which is a crucial step in shaping a better, more sustainable society.
