Mokotów extends to the left bank of Vistula River and is the most populous district of Warsaw. The non-uniform residential architecture consists of exclusive villas, elegant apartment buildings and multi-floor blocks of flats. Today, post-industrial areas are covered with office and service buildings. The district is surrounded by several water reservoirs and green areas, such as Mokotów Field and Służewiecka Valley. There are four shopping centres and many cultural institutions here.
